CUDOCOMPUTE: Decentralizing the Cloud

For most of its time on the internet, the public cloud had allowed users from all around the globe to communicate and interact with each other by means of sharing multiple forms of files and documents, all shared on a central cloud so users could gain access to them.

Yet even though this is inarguably amazing in itself, it could still be made better, and CUDOS, the leading institution for revolutionizing the world of cryptocurrency did just that. They recently introduced CudoCompute, a decentralized cloud system that aims to overhaul the current cloud system and replace it with something better, more sustainable, and more interactive.

The current cloud system we are using is fast enough, but due to it being controlled by central systems mainly operated by three large infrastructures, data and its usability are always in jeopardy, add to this the lack of sustainability in keeping a centralized cloud running given its huge energy consumption and pollution potential, and last but not least, the latency problems that ensue due to the distance between the data-center and the user. CudoCompute aims to resolve this by providing a democratic alternative, with the introduction of a decentralized cloud system that could be operated by the end-user itself, to put it simply.

All of this and more is what’s gonna come from this awesome project made by CUDOS, as months go by, we should expect more improvements in the base concept, as well as more progress until its release.
